Our History
Hern Construction, Inc. is a company founded with over three generations of family building. Christian Hern spent his summers in North Carolina building homes with his grandfather in the Smoky Mountains of Franklin and Highlands. His excitement for working hard and building came at an early age, as his grandfather would like to tell. At 6 -years old, Christian would change into his work clothes and boots the night before because he didn’t want to miss work which started every day at 4:30 am. Christian’s father was also a commercial mechanical contractor starting RH Mechanical and Hern Mechanical. Many jobs included jails, Publix’s, large nursing homes, and schools.

In need of a complete rebuild of my back porch, I asked Christian Hern of Hern Construction to provide suggestions and a proposal for the rebuild. I was anticipating a pretty much replacement of the original wood decking and metal railing.
